We are a drug and alcohol charity and this year we are celebrating 50 years of helping individuals, families and communities recover from drug and alcohol problems. Last year we provided direct support for approx. 20,000 people across our prison, community residential and specialist services.
In environment where funding for services like ours has been reducing we believe we are needed more than ever to offer hope to people in need. We want everyone affected by the harms of drug and alcohol use to feel confident in their recovery.
Our values and beliefs – guiding us every day We are values-based charity. Our values and beliefs guide us on a daily basis.
We believe in being the best
We are passionate about recovery
We value our history and use it to inform our future
Our history as a pioneer in the recovery movement Phoenix has been a pioneer of psycho-social person-focused approaches to recovery.
From the beginning our approach to recovery has been to look at the needs and strengths of people in the context of their broader life and relationships. This ‘recovery-focused’ approach has become the mainstream over time. We aim to support people to be who they want to be, and help them to fulfil their potential in life.
